In these four dynamic 30 minute virtual sessions, explore innovative strategies for improving the retention of classified staff in PK-12 schools. Discover how to create a supportive and engaging work environment that values and recognizes the contributions of classified staff, from administrative assistants to custodians. Discuss best practices for onboarding and hiring, strategies for scheduling challenges, professional development, effective communication, and creating a culture of appreciation.

Through real-world examples, group discussions, and actionable takeaways, learn how to implement practical solutions to reduce turnover, utilize a system for absence challenges, enhance job satisfaction, and build a more cohesive school community. Session 1 (Feb. 4):  Onboarding and hiring classified staff and the story the data tells us

Session 2 (Feb. 11): Scheduling and learning how to maximize the absence and coverage schedule with strategies and a responsive system.

Session 3 (Feb. 18): Professional development and a system of support for classified staff.

Session 4 (Feb 25): Performance feedback for classified staff with an emphasis on goal setting and performance communication.
