If SAI enhances members’ skills and knowledge as educational leaders
- by facilitating standards-referenced professional learning experiences;
- by focusing on equity of educational opportunities and culturally responsive practices;
- by creating opportunities to develop professional relationships;
- by offering opportunities to cultivate a leadership-life fit;
- by communicating quality information in a timely manner;
- by providing exceptional, customized individual supports;
If SAI recruits and retains quality leaders into school administration
- by empowering members to encourage promising educational leaders to consider various school administration roles;
- by providing valuable mentoring and induction experiences;
- by contributing to the development of a diverse administrative workforce;
- by promoting the important work of school administrators to a variety of audiences;
- by being a respected source of data regarding issues consistent with SAI’s mission;
If SAI advocates for and champions Iowa’s educational leaders and learners
- by effectively lobbying for the positions in SAI’s legislative platform;

If SAI operates an efficient and effective professional association
